About this ArcGIS Lab
The health of coral reefs is critical to maintain marine ecosystems. Unfortunately, high ocean temperatures can cause coral bleaching. In this ArcGIS lab, you will create a tiled imagery layer from a network Common Data Form file that contains multidimensional sea surface temperature data for multiple decades. You will then use analytical tools to locate anomalies in sea surface temperature and identify areas where coral bleaching may occur. Finally, you will compare these potential bleaching locations with coral reefs to identify endangered reefs.
Goals
- Use ArcGIS Online to visualize trends from multidimensional data.
